    2009 Camporee Patch
  1. We encourage each unit to strive to electronically register every individual attending for their unit so the camp can assure adequate restrooms, food, supplies, facilities and supervision. Registration reports can be produced by leaders for their review.

  2. All youth and leaders (including non-registered parents and ecclesiastic leaders) attending the Camporee need to turn in an approved BSA Annual Health and Medical Record when they arrive. Please note that this is a Class I event and no physical is required. The older Class I, II, and III medical forms are still good through the end of 2009. We request that a unit leader bring these forms to the check-in site upon arrival at the camp. The forms will be returned to a unit representative when they check out of the camp and receive their patches.

  3. All units that are part of the Sam Houston Area Council do not need to complete a BSA tour permit to attend this activity because they are attending a council camp. Those units that are not members of the council should secure a completed Local Tour Permit.

  4. All units should complete the Church Activity form and have it reviewed and signed by their local priesthood leaders as required.

  5. Each unit must have two-deep leadership per BSA guidelines. These leaders should have completed Youth Protection and Hazardous Weather Training per the requirements shown on the Local Tour Permit.

  6. Primary and ecclesiastic leaders are encouraged to attend with their units but must: a) register with the camp (advanced electronic registration or at camp check-in), and b) provide an Annual Health and Medical Record to the camp (see number 2 above). If any female adults are at the camp they need to comply with BSA rules (see Guide to Safe Scouting and Primary Guidelines) and should identify themselves at check-in so adequate restroom facilities can be assured.

  7. Compliance with camp policies for safety and fires are required at all times.

  8. Compliance with LDS guidelines for safety and conduct need to be observed at all times including the requirement that 11 year old scouts camp separate from the rest of the troop (see Primary Guidelines).
